James offers a number of courses either from home, at a given location or via skype. The courses vary. Most recently, he has been giving courses on three different subjects; a) 'Why Follow Rules?' (based on subjects cover in the book),b) 'Enlightened Dialogue', a new way of communicating in an age of Dispute, and c) Intuitive Drawing. Please see below for further details.

a) Why Follow Rules?

Discovering who we really are without the 'dressing' of culture, education and status. This course is based around the subject matter of the book and asks many questions. It includes interesting and useful exercises to help us grasp some of the truths about ourselves. We often tend to live our lives without noticing quite how much we hinder ourselves from understanding or believing in our true natural abilities. We are ALWAYS much more remarkable and extraordinary than we give ourselves credit for. Some of the questions dealt with are:

  • Why are we here? What is our purpose?
  • Do we really know who we are?
  • Whose rules are we following, and why?
  • How do we deal with previous issues that drive the way we behave?
  • How do we learn to trust ourselves?

James is currently running a variation on this course in Zimbabwe for teachers entitled 'Why Follow Outdated Rules?'

b) Enlightened Dialogue

After studying negotiation, mediation and facilitation and having experienced unsatisfactory approaches to dialogue, James developed the Enlightened Dialogue programme. He has recently been teaching it in Zimbabwe to those who will be involved in dialogue over the future of agriculture in that country.

The Process is broken down into 6 stages;
Stage 1; Recognising and understanding our own anchors
Stage 2; Preparation and groundwork
Stage 3: Building Relationships
Stage 4: Exploring the Diversity – engaging in deep dialogue
Stage 5: Creating remarkable results – achieving 110% and more
Stage 6: Bringing the Constituencies on board

c) Intuitive Drawing

Art is one of the easiest ways we have of expressing ourselves - and doing so using our intuition as the base point is electrifying. Here is a chance for you to escape the constriction of 'expectations' and come and have some fun exploring your own creativity in a wonderfully free environment. You will surprise yourself with your own creative abilities. No previous drawing skills are necessary. Click on the image to go to the website.

These courses can be delivered in Suffolk UK, on location elsewhere or online via skype with group participation. Other specific courses can be created for organisations who may wish to focus them specifically to their needs.

All of these subject areas are driven from an internal position. Each of us has a concept (based on years of experience) about how we should or should not act in life, but is it right? Discussion and debate is crucial to understanding our own perspectives, so each course encourages participants to open up and, in effect, re-evaluate their current positions.

All courses are geared to helping participants recognise the power of the ''intuitive self' and its extraordinary role in all of the extraordinary things we undertake or create on a daily basis.

The Facilitator's Development Programme - Elements

"I met James when he attended the open course in October 2009 and was immediately impressed by his commitment and focus. Although new to facilitation as a formal label he naturally worked in a facilitative way and showed that it was part of his nature.

In the 16 years I have been training facilitators James stands out as having his heart and soul invested in what he is doing and breathing that belief into his work with groups. His courage and willingness to directly address the key issues was outstanding and will mean that those who are lucky enough to attend the sessions he is running will know that they have spent their time both constructively and wisely.

Within the group with whom he shared the programme with in 2009 everyone was awed by his ambition and modesty, an unusual combination which James carries with him. His willingness to enter into difficult areas with people with a belief that it will be okay and trusting those he is working with to handle it is matched by his caring and respect. At the end of each session he ran during the programme the rest of the group were amazed at what they had achieved.

I wish him all the very best. I know that he is the person needed to make this happen."
